Jimmy and Doonie is a book of six stories for young children, set in Trinidad and based on the author's recollection of carefree early boyhood days. The stories are about seven-year-old Jimmy and his special dog Doonie, who is only one, but in dog years the same age as Jimmy. Our two heroes have exciting adventures all over the island, with Doonie somehow always managing to save the day. This little book, beautifully illustrated by Shawn Chong-Ashing, is ideal for 4-10 year olds, and for anyone who grew up in Trinidad and Tobago.

About the Author:
Gary Voss, now retired, is a Trinidadian who has lived and worked in Trinidad and Tobago all his life. A graduate chemical engineer, his career was first in heavy industry, but later in the consumer goods business. The father of three boys, he has always enjoyed telling stories to kids - at social and family gatherings the cry would always be "Gary, Gary, tell us a story!" Confined to home by the Covid lockdown, he finally had the opportunity to fulfill his lifetime ambition of writing a book of stories for young children.
